Directions to the Hoboken Artists Studio Tour!
By PATH: Take the stairs that lead to the street (as opposed to the train station). Walk straight until you can't walk any further (one block to Hudson St.) and make a right. Walk one block and make a left (at the Starbuck’s) onto Newark St. Walk one block and you'll hit Washington Street. Keep going straight for five more blocks and once you pass Clinton on your right, look for the entrance to the parking lot on your left. (There’s a decrepit sign that says 333 Newark St.—barely readable these days.)
Once you enter the parking lot, walk along the wall on your left and you'll see the entrance. Make a right at the security guard desk, and walk to the elevator, which will be on your right. There are stairs there, too, if you prefer. You’ll see signs for the party everywhere.
By car: From the Turnpike, get off at Exit 14C. (Once you pay the toll, just keep going straight for a mile or so.) At the first light, make a left. (You'll see the Holland Tunnel in front of you.) Keep going straight until you go under an overpass, which swings you around to the right. Go one block after the fourth light (I think it’s the fourth—it’s Willow Ave.) and make a left onto Park Ave. Go one block and make another left onto Newark Street. Go two blocks, and when you pass Clinton on your right, look for the entrance to the parking lot on your left. (YES, you can park here.) If you see a strip mall on your right, you've gone too far.
